Fans anticipating Unicorn Overlord, the gorgeous-looking tactical RPG from Vanillaware and Atlus, can dive into it now, as the game’s demo is officially available on PS5 and PS4, following 24 hours of exclusivity on Nintendo Switch. The best part? Progress made will carry over to the full game, allowing you to get a headstart on the action ahead of its 8th March launch.

From the developers of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Odin Sphere, Unicorn Overlord leans far further into the tactical side of combat than previous efforts. Players will form armies of troops bolstered by mythical creatures and engage in large-scale, stunningly animated engagements. Positioning is everything, and players can claim victory by seizing objectives, defeating specific characters, or gaining an advantage over the enemy by capturing the high ground. With combat happening in real-time, the pressure will be on to act first and seize the initiative, a refreshing change from the genre’s usual turn-based fare.
